con|energy CEO welcomes top-class discussion partners at the E-world Kick-off

26.10.2023

The E-world Kick-off, the digital kick-off event for E-world energy & water 2024, will go into the next round from November 07 to 09, 2023.

After the successful premiere of the digital conference in February 2023, the event will awaken an appetite for the presence trade fair. Dr. Roman Dudenhausen, CEO of con|energy ag, will moderate a discussion on "The future role of the state in energy supply" on the first day, November 07 from 10:00 to 12:00. Participation is free of charge at community.e-world-essen.com/de/p/kick-off.

As the organizer of the E-world energy & water trade fair, con|energy has offered a European networking platform for the industry since 2001. With the E-world Community, the digital companion to the presence trade fair, the organizers of the trade fair created an all-year information and networking platform for the industry. The highlight of the extensive digital program taking place in the E-world Community is the E-world Kick-off. On three days, experts from the energy sector will discuss current and future developments, share their evaluations and engage in an exchange with the audience. Additionally, E-world visitors can find out which topics will be relevant at the next E-world, which will be held at Messe Essen from February 20 to 22, 2024.

The E-world Kick-off begins on Tuesday, November 7, and will focus on the first day on the question "What is the future role of the state in energy supply?". During the energy crisis, the German federal government was forced to intervene massively in the energy industry to ensure the country's security of supply. Now, the situation in the industry has stabilized. How it will develop in the coming years will be discussed by a high-profile panel on the first day of the kick-off.

The CEO of conIenergy ag will first interview the Parliamentary State Secretary MdB Stefan Wenzel from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. This will be followed by a panel discussion with Stefan Kapferer, CEO of 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, Michael D. Lewis, CEO and CSO of Uniper SE, and Professor Christoph Schmidt, President of RWI - Leibniz Institute for Economic Research. "I am very much looking forward to discussing this hot topic with representatives from politics, business and research. In the energy industry, we have been experiencing massive state influence in recent years and also currently, and this will certainly be discussed very controversially," says Dr. Roman Dudenhausen.

The following two days of the kick-off will look at the "Global Gas Markets" and the "Heat Revolution in Germany". On all three days, the event will welcome distinguished guests from the industry. The complete program can be viewed here.

Participation in the kick-off is free of charge. You can register for the event here.
