encentive secures 2.7 million euro investment

30.04.2024

There is still a lot of potential for optimising energy consumption in industry. The start-up encentive was also able to convince investors of this and recently raised €2.7 million in financing.

con|energy has been an investor in encentive since 2022 and is proud to support such a forward-looking start-up.

Industry consumes the largest share of energy in Germany and worldwide. The use of renewable energy is therefore essential to achieve the transformation to a climate-neutral economy. encentive has made it its mission to support the industry in decarbonizing its processes.

The start-up achieves this through AI-supported energy management. Founders Daniel Ehnes, Torge Lahrsen and Sascha Greve have developed the flexOn energy management platform for this purpose. It uses AI-based data analysis and automation to shift the electricity consumption of the existing infrastructure to green and favourable periods. flexOn serves as an intelligent control room that bi-directionally adjusts energy flows to the availability of renewable energy at its own site and in the markets.

"We are very pleased for encentive that they have been able to mark another significant milestone in their corporate development with the latest investment round. We are proud to be part of the encentive family of investors and look forward to the development ahead," said Dr Roman Dudenhausen, CEO of con|energy ag.

The latest investment round, which raised a total of 2.7 million euros, was led by Summiteer - the investment company of serial entrepreneur and e-mobility pioneer Sven Schulz. Other investors include Vireo Ventures, Smart Infrastructure Ventures, Interface Capital, OMA Ventures and well-known business angels such as Enerparc founder Stefan Müller and professional footballer and investor Mario Götze.
