With the right positioning to the smart city

The cities in the DACH region - whether small or large - are facing major changes, driven by long-term trends:
continuing urbanisation demands socially acceptable fulfilment of housing needs as well as efficient road transport, digitisation enables data-supported infrastructures and efficient administrative processes, and the sustainability trend is awakening desires for environmentally friendly energy supply, emission-free transport and "green" services for citizens.
These and other developments are driving urban and market-driven players, such as administration, energy suppliers and waste management companies, into ambitious change processes. The aim is to actively shape the changing "citizen or customer biotope" and to help shape the challenges of the future. City councils are responsible for driving and coordinating the activities and stakeholders in order to enable their city to undergo an efficient change process.
Together with Energieversorgung Mittelrhein AG, con|energy unternehmensberatung has designed a positioning process for the successful development of a Smart City. The need is there, the implementation is worthwhile.
